Meet the Team
Eastrop Nursery has a highly qualified and experienced staff team. All staff have a current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and have up to date safeguarding training. The team is dedicated, hard working and has a wealth of experience in childcare and education.
Early Years Leader
I have worked in Early Years School settings for over 20 years. I am a qualified teacher, with a Bachelors of Education Degree. I also hold a Level 3 in Safeguarding and a Paediatric First Aid certificate. I have a real passion for Early Years and I love watching the children grow in confidence throughout the Foundation Stage. Outdoor learning is very important to me and we are often found outside rain or shine, having fun and exploring.
In my spare time I love being with my daughter and husband, going for walks, travelling and cooking food from around the world.
Nursery Class Teacher (M - W)
I have been a Primary Class Teacher for over 10 years and I have been very fortunate to teach children from Nursery all the way through to Year 6! I really enjoy teaching children in the Early Years as I love to see their confidence and skills develop in a wide range of learning activities. It is amazing to see their independence flourish through playing and learning with their peers.
In my spare time I enjoy going swimming and going on family adventures with my son and husband.
Nursery Class Teacher (W - F)
I have been at Eastrop Infant School teaching for nearly three years now and until this September I was teaching in our Reception class. It has been a great move into the nursery class this year as I am enjoying getting our Little Acorns ready for starting school and learning lots of new things. Early Years is definitely a passion of mine, nothing quite beats the feeling of teaching children how to do something for the very first time!
When I am not at work, I love to get lost in a good book, go for a relaxing swim or on holiday with my husband and our two girls.
Early Years Educator L3
I began studying Childcare at New College where I first developed a good understanding and interest for the Early Years. I then continued to further my depth of understanding and knowledge at Bangor University in North Wales over the course of three years.
One of the reasons I enjoy Early Years is celebrating children's achievements. Knowing that learning experiences can support children to cope with challenging experiences and help shape their future.
When I am not looking after my nieces and nephews I enjoy listening to a variety of music, being active, walking my dog and going to fitness classes.
