Our Vision for PSHE

At Eastrop, we develop successful learners who have the knowledge, understanding, attitudes, values and skills they need to reach their full potential, and thrive as individuals within the community, both now and in the future.

Our children take part in a wide range of activities and experiences across and beyond the curriculum, contributing fully to the life of their school and communities. In doing so, they learn to recognise their own worth, work well with others and become increasingly responsible for their own learning. They reflect on their experiences and understand how they are developing personally and socially, tackling many of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up.

Eastrop supports and motivates the children to become resilient, make good progress and leave us as responsible, happy citizens.

Kapow PSHE Curriculum Overview

We are proud to teach Kapow PSHE throughout the school.

The Kapow Primary RSE & PSHE scheme covers the full breadth of learning pupils need to stay healthy, safe and prepared for life. This includes:

Personal.
Social.
Health.
Economic.
Relationships.
Citizenship.
Sex education (optional).

Key areas group Year 1-6 learning into meaningful themes and ensure that all statutory content is covered. The strands run from Reception to Year 6, demonstrating how pupils develop lifelong skills in managing themselves, regulating their emotions, building positive relationships and thinking critically.
